November 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women will be meeting on Friday, November 21st at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station. ⭐️⭐️Our speaker will be Melissa Magstadt, our SD Secretary of Health, who will be speaking on a number of important SD issues including the “Big Beautiful Bill.” ⭐️⭐️Please let us know if you will be attending. The cost is $12.00. Come and hear our amazing speaker!️

October 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

️The Codington County Republican Women met on Friday, October 17th at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station. Our speaker was Kelly Patterson, a survivor of modern-day slavery. ⭐️⭐️At the early age of 6, in the state of South Dakota, she was introduced to an elite sex trafficking ring. Unknown to her family, this ring secretly groomed her for all aspects of trafficking including international travel. ⭐️⭐️Kelly is a sought after speaker and travels extensively to share, train, and educate. She has authored her autobiography in the book, “From Trafficked to Treasured”, and has worked with survivors of sexual trauma for over 20 years. Thanks for supporting CCRW and listening to our interesting speakers!

September 2025 monthly CCRW meeting
Ladies in Red Program

Monae Johnson, our Secretary of State, was our speaker at our annual Ladies in Red fundraiser on Friday, September 19th, Second Street Station. There was also a silent auction table with donated items which raised money for CCRW causes such as TARS (Teen Age Republican Students) and Caring for America. Thanks to all who donated items, to Martha Wiseman for providing a delicious cake for our dessert and to Fred Deutsch for donating the beautiful prints for the auction! ⭐️Thanks for supporting CCRW and listening to Monae Johnson talk about her background and what her office is doing to make South Dakota a better state.

August 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women met at 2nd Street Station on Friday, August 15th at 11:30. ⭐️Our speaker was Linda Schauer, a lobbyist for Concerned Women of America, an organization that works to protect and promote Biblical values and Constitutional principles. ⭐️We also heard from a TARS representative who described some of the activities at summer camp.⭐️Thanks for supporting CCRW and coming to hear from Linda Schauer and our TARS representative!

July 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women met at 2nd Street Station on Friday, July 11th at 11:30. ⭐️We were very excited to have Jon Hansen, who currently serves as Speaker of the SD House of Representatives and is running for Governor of SD, as our guest speaker. ⭐️He was joined by fellow State Representative from the 16th District and his running mate, Karla Lems.⭐️ Thank you for coming and listening to our amazing speakers.

4th of July 2025 Parade

The Codington County Republican Women participated in the 4th of July Parade again this year!

June 2025 CCRW Members Donate Quilts

Codington County Republican Women brought quilt donations from Tammi Koistinen and Debbie Ludens. Thanks for your beautiful donations!

June 2025 CCRW Members Donate to Haven

The Codington County Republican Women donated needed items to the Haven Pregnancy Center. They toured the Center with Executive Director, Brookney Delgado.

June 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women met on Friday, June 13th at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station.

Our special speakers were some of our City Council Candidates: Byron Callies (Ward A), Randy Tupper (Ward D), Jason Redemsky (At Large); and School Board Candidates: Jean Moulton, Craig Buss;

We also heard from our new TARS Coordinator: Catherine Barronco.

May 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women met on Friday, May 16th, at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station.

Our special speaker was Bryon Noem, husband of our former SD Governor and current DHS Secretary. Bryon shared his interesting and exciting introspective story about his experiences being the first gentleman to Kristi Noem.

CCRW members participated in our Mamie Eisenhower Literacy Project immediately following the meeting.

The Codington County Republican Women met on Friday, April 18th, at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station. One of our speakers was Brent Mohrmann, who is running for City Council, Ward A. Meaghan Wharton, from the Watertown Beacon Center also joined us.

Haven Center Visit 11 April 2025

The Codington County Republican Women visited the Haven Center on 11 April. We got a tour and heard from Director Brookney Delgado.

March 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women met on Friday, March 21st at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station in Watertown. Our speakers were Jeanne Horning, who covered highlights from this past Legislative Session, and Brianne Brown, who discussed valuable information on Safe Haven Baby Boxes.

February 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women meeting was held on Friday, February 21st at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station in Watertown. The first speaker was Brookney Delgado, the new director of the Haven Crisis Pregnancy Center. She talked about what is happening at the Center, including the services and goods provided to those needing help. Our other speaker was Jeanne Horning who gave us an important Legislative Update and reviewed which bills have and have not passed during the current legislative session. CCRW members brought canned/boxed items for the Salvation Army. Thankyou for attending and listening to our amazing speakers!

January 2025 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women meeting was held on Friday, January 17th at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station in Watertown.

The new SDFRW President, Beka Zerbst, spoke about her experience and conducted the Installation Ceremony for our CCRW Officers.

We also heard from Jeanne Horning, who highlighted a few bills that are of interest this Legislative Session (including school choice) and explained how to access the Legislative Research Council (LRC) website (see link at top of this web page).

CCRW members brought canned/boxed items for the Salvation Army.

The Codington County Republican Women will be met on Friday, November 15th at 2nd Street Station. Our speaker was Dale Bartscher, Executive Director of SD Right to Life. Dale has been an inspirational leader who has worked tirelessly to protect the lives of our precious unborn babies! He spoke to us about the many issues SD Right to Life has been involved in and had a lot of information to share. He reminded us that although Amendment G was defeated this past November we must remain active in preventing future efforts to pass measures such as this.

CCRW Volunteers Canvas for No on G

On Sunday, Nov 3rd 2024, Codington County Republican Women along with the Life Defense Fund members went canvassing in Watertown for No on Amendment G.

October 2024 monthly CCRW meeting

The Codington County Republican Women held their monthly meeting Friday, October 18th at 11:30 at 2nd Street Station in Watertown. The speaker was Aaron Levisay, a historian, who spoke on: How Our Country Began, and the States vs. the Federal Government. Glen Vilhauer running for Senate District 5 also spoke about his candidacy. Roger Papka talked about the importance of Patriotism and Getting Out the Vote. CCRW volunteers also met at the Wheel Inn and stuffed bags of treats for the Watertown Firefighters (CCRW's next Caring for America Project) and preparing postcards to send to the battleground states to get out the vote!
